WHY DOES THIS PROGRAMME WORK SO WELL
It’s not magic—it’s science (with a little bit of magic thrown in). Hypopressives are an absolute game-changer — a gentle yet powerful way to retrain your core and pelvic floor, by focusing on breath work, posture and core strength. Our programme is consistently getting great results for women like you.
I’ll guide you every step of the way with one-to-one support, so you’re never left guessing what to do next. And here’s the best part—you don’t have to wait months to feel better. Many women start noticing real improvements within just a few weeks!
What are Hypopressives?
Hypopressives are a unique, low-pressure exercise technique that uses a special breathing technique known as the vacuum effect. This breathwork creates a gentle "lift" in the pelvic region, helping to strengthen the pelvic floor, improve posture, and activate the core. Originally developed for postpartum women, this method is now widely used to address pelvic floor issues like prolapse, incontinence, and diastasis recti recovery.
This gentle, yet effective practice focuses on breathwork, posture, and core engagement to provide a full-body workout. It's particularly helpful for improving pelvic health, boosting overall well-being, and reducing tension in the pelvic region.
Key Benefits of Hypopressives
-
Pelvic Floor Strength: Hypopressives activate and tone the pelvic floor muscles, helping reduce prolapse and incontinence symptoms. They’re especially effective postpartum or during menopause, when pelvic floor issues are more common.
-
Core Activation: The method deeply engages the core, making it ideal for diastasis recti recovery, improving posture, and toning the waistline (yippee!)
-
Low-Pressure Technique: Unlike many exercises that put extra pressure on the abdomen, hypopressives use a vacuum effect to reduce strain on the pelvic floor, making it safer and more effective
-
Parasympathetic Nervous System Activation: The breath work promotes calmness and relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and enhancing overall well-being.
-
Myofascial Release: It helps release tension in the muscles, improving flexibility, posture, and full-body toning.
-
Boosts Energy: Regular practice enhances circulation, leaving you feeling more energized and revitalized.
-
Sexual Health: Many women notice an improvement in sexual satisfaction, as they strengthen the pelvic muscles, improve blood flow and enhance sensation.
-
Prepares for Pregnancy: Doing hypopressives before conception can help prevent pelvic floor issues and improve muscle tone, providing support for future pregnancies.
-
Supports Athletes: Athletes benefit from a strengthened core and pelvic region, reducing the risk of injury and improving overall performance.
Hypopressives are beneficial for women at any stage of life, but especially for those seeking to improve pelvic health postpartum, during menopause, or prevent future issues. It's a full-body, low-pressure technique that supports strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.

FAQ'S
What the heck are hypopressives?
Hypopressives are all about gentle breath work, posture, and core activation. Think yoga meets Pilates, but way more effective for prolapse and leaking. They involve a vacuum breath that creates the unique 'lift' effect and releases the fascia, leading to better function again where you need it most.
Will it actually work?
Absolutely. Many women start seeing results within weeks, and I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way. We evaluated our service which showed that women get an average of 74% improvements in prolapse symptoms (grades 1-3, including rectocele). We also see great outcomes for women with incontinence.
What's the time committment?
Aswell as your regular 30 minute sessions most weeks with me, you just need 15 minutes a day to see improvements. Women tell us they love their practice time each day and prefer it to kegels
What do I need to do hypopressives?
You don't need any fancy equipment—just a yoga mat or a soft carpet, and you're good to go! Hypopressives can be done anywhere, and they don’t require any special gear, making them easy to fit into your routine.
How does online coaching work?
With online coaching, you’ll receive weekly sessions with me (via Zoom), plus lifetime access to the Create Lift Pose & Flow videos. You can practice at your own pace, and I’ll be there to guide and support you every step of the way—just like if we were meeting in person. This approach makes it super easy to fit hypopressives into your day, no matter how busy you are.
Will I have support if I need it?
Definitely! Along with your weekly 1:1 sessions, you’ll have access to anytime WhatsApp and email support. So if you have any questions or need help in between sessions, I’m just a message away. It’s all about making sure you feel confident and supported throughout the programme.
Is this for me?
If you’re dealing with prolapse or incontinence and want a simple, effective solution, YES—this is for you! This programme is ideal if you’re experiencing: Leaking during exercise, laughing, or sneezing. A feeling of heaviness or discomfort linked to prolapse symptoms.
Can I do hypopressives at home?
Absolutely! One of the beauties of hypopressives is that they’re easy to practice at home. With online coaching, you can work through your sessions wherever you feel comfortable. Whether you’re at home or traveling, you can take your practice with you.
Do they help with prolapse or incontinence?
Yes, one of the main benefits of hypopressives is improving pelvic floor health, which can support issues like prolapse, incontinence, and overall pelvic floor weakness. These exercises work by strengthening and engaging the deep muscles that support your pelvic organs.
Do I need to be in shape to start?
Not at all! Hypopressives are suitable for women at all fitness levels. Whether you’re recovering from childbirth or simply looking to strengthen your pelvic floor, the exercises can be adapted to your individual needs and abilities.
How long does it take to see results?
Results can vary depending on your individual circumstances, but most women notice improvements in strength, posture, and pelvic health within a few weeks. The Create Lift programme provides ongoing support, so you can see gradual, sustainable progress over time.
Can I do hypopressives during pregnancy?
Yes, but the breath work and poses are adapted (importantly no apnoea phase). Hypopressives is done during pregnancy to support your pelvic floor and improve posture. We’ll modify the exercises to ensure you're getting all the benefits without compromising your safety or comfort. My 6-week Hypopressives for Pregnancy course is specifically designed to guide you through safe and effective exercises, tailored to the unique needs of pregnancy.
It is most definitely something that one day I will be teaching my daughter in the hope that she does not have to experience what I have.
