The Pregnancy Hypopressives Programme
6-weeks
This focused course is all about supporting your pelvic floor and core through pregnancy with safe, gentle hypopressives (no apnea—perfectly pregnancy-friendly!), posture work, and alignment tips. We’ll also help support and ease any common pelvic floor niggles like leaking or prolapse, help you feel calmer and more in control, and set you up for a smoother, more comfortable pregnancy and birth.
PREGNANCY HYPOPRESSIVES
Pregnancy is a time when your body deserves extra care, and the Hypopressives for Pregnancy Course offers just that. We modify the breath work in pregnancy (including no apnoea), giving you a safe and effective practice as your bump grows.
Pregnancy Hypopressives is a safe, breath-led practice designed to:
-
Strengthen the pelvic floor
-
Improve posture and alignment
-
Relieve tightness or hypertonicity in the pelvic floor so it functions better
-
Support your growing body through all stages of pregnancy
In my courses we cover both foundational and advanced poses, tailored to your pregnancy journey.
The exercises are gentle yet powerful, and effective at:
-
Managing common pelvic floor issues like incontinence and prolapse
-
Relieving discomfort and promoting relaxation
-
Calming the nervous system, reduce stress, and lowering cortisol levels—benefiting both you and your baby
Why Hypopressives?
Breathwork, posture, and alignment might not sound revolutionary—but they are! Hypopressives help you build core strength and stability, making pregnancy more comfortable and birth smoother. They also lay a strong foundation for recovery post-birth.
The Birth Prep
Course
12-weeks
My holistic course layering up the support you truly need for a confident, empowered birth. With my experience in the birthing world, we’ll combine breath-led pregnancy hypopressives, biomechanics for birth, DreamBirth, hypnobirthing, and emotional support for the early days. I’ve designed this beautiful course to address the unpredictability of birth, helping you feel calm, prepared, and ready for whatever comes your way and help you get the birth you want. You’ll walk into your birth feeling strong, grounded, and ready to trust yourself.
Pregnancy Techniques You’ll Love
The 12-week course includes my tried-and-tested favourites to support your body, ease discomfort, and boost your confidence throughout pregnancy
Biomechanics for Birth
Your body knows how to give birth, but it helps to give it the right tools. Biomechanics focuses on movement, alignment, and positions that make labor easier for you and your baby. Whether it’s easing discomfort in pregnancy or optimizing your baby’s position, this is about working with your body, not against it.
Imagery & Visualisation
The longer course also includes DreamBirth® sessions, where we dive into relaxation techniques, calming imagery, and connecting with your baby. It’s about more than just birth prep—it’s about creating a deeper bond with yourself and your growing little one.
Postnatal Preparation
Get ready for a smoother transition into motherhood with practical tools for the early days. This course helps you navigate postpartum recovery while also preparing for the emotional and physical adjustments of caring for your newborn. With a focus on both you and your baby, you'll feel more confident and supported as you step into this new chapter.
Partner Support
Your birth partner plays a huge role in your experience, and this course helps them feel confident and prepared, too. There will be a dedicated session for them to join (they don't have to come to every session). You'll both feel prepped for how they can help you get in the zone or make decisions when you need to, and be on hand in the early days after your baby has arrived.
Informed Birth Choices
Feeling confident in your choices is key to having a positive birth experience. In this course, we’ll explore the different options available to you, empowering you to make informed decisions when you need to that align with your values and preferences. By discussing everything from pain relief to birth plans, you’ll be well-prepared to advocate for yourself during labor and ensure your birth experience feels right for you.
I went into labour not long after our final session, and had the most beautiful, powerful homebirth - partly, I’m sure, because Emily had helped me to release, relax, and remember what my body was capable of

FAQ'S
Which course is best for me?
Both courses are designed to start after your 12-week dating scan, making them ideal for the second or third trimester. The main difference lies in what you’re looking to focus on: If your goal is to strengthen your pelvic floor, support your core, and ease pregnancy-related discomfort, the Hypopressives for Pregnancy Programme is the way to go. If you’re looking for a more comprehensive approach to prepare your body, mind, and heart for birth—or to feel calm, confident, and in control no matter how your baby arrives—then the 12-Week Birth Prep Course is for you. This course layers up the support you need, helping you address both the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy, birth, and recovery. It’s like having your own personal guide for this transformative chapter, tailored to your unique journey.
Can I do this course alongside my local antenatal classes?
Absolutely! In fact, many of my clients love combining this course with a local antenatal class—it’s the perfect match. While antenatal classes often focus on group connection and general birth education, my course offers a more intimate and personalised approach. Together, we’ll explore gentle techniques, breathwork, and practices designed to nurture your body and mind throughout pregnancy. You’ll build a deeper toolkit that beautifully complements the group experience, and with our 1:1 sessions, you’ll have space to reflect, ask questions, and explore your individual needs every step of the way.
Are hypopressives safe in pregnancy?
Yes, hypopressives are completely safe during pregnancy when done correctly, with proper modifications for each stage of pregnancy. Our programme is designed to support your pelvic floor and overall body mechanics, reducing stress and discomfort, all while promoting a healthier pregnancy. In fact, the earlier you start, the more benefits you'll experience in managing pelvic floor health and preparing for a smoother birth. (As always, if you have any medical concerns, it's a good idea to consult your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise programme.)
What will I need for the course?
All you need is a comfortable space to practice, a yoga/gym mat, and a bolster (optional but helpful for certain poses). We'll guide you through everything, so you don’t need any fancy equipment.
When can I start?
You can start as soon as you’re past your dating scan—around 12 weeks. The earlier you start, the more time you'll have to build your toolkit of techniques and strategies for a more comfortable pregnancy and birth. However, it’s never too late to begin, and starting in the third trimester is still very beneficial for preparing for labor and postpartum recovery.
How long is the Hypopressives for Pregnancy Programme?
This course is 6 weeks long, with five sessions. You’ll learn foundational techniques, which you can build on throughout your pregnancy, and flows for your daily practice
Can I do these exercises if I’ve never tried them before?
Absolutely! Hypopressives is designed to be accessible for everyone, whether you're new to fitness or already have experience. We'll build up progressions in each session, going at your own pace.
Will we discuss my birth plan/preferences?
Yes! In the 12-Week Birth Prep Course, we dive into birth plans and preferences, helping you gain clarity and confidence in the choices that feel right for you. We cover how to navigate unpredictable moments and build a toolkit of relaxation, decision-making, and comfort techniques to help you feel empowered—no matter how your birth unfolds. Often we'll do this session nearer to your due-date, so we can chat about your preferences or any questions you have closer to when your baby arrives
